Article No. is a new brand developed by Los Angeles cohorts Ant de Padovane, Michael Jonte, and brothers Josh and Jacob Willis, the entire collection features completely original silhouettes and technology that maintain a clean aesthetic with a progressive feel. Designed to exude a high fashion feel with street-ready sensibilities, while drawing integral design cues from famous West Coast sculptor Richard Serra. Exquisite materials are used, such as nappa leather and python-embossed leather.
Three core silhouettes are used throughout the offering – the High Top, the Mid Cut, and the Low Cut. The High Top arrives in a supple black nappa leather makeup with a two-tone leather finish, and sits atop a widened tonal sole. The Mid Cut is more of a trainer silhouette, and features a neoprene inner-sock with a two-pronged heel pull. The Mid Cut is presented in four executions – Black, Black Croc, Red Croc, and White Croc. The last model is the Low Cut, which takes a classic-built upper and sits it atop an unconventional flowing midsole. The Low Cut is offered in Black and Red.
