RIP Neil Armstrong. To commemorate America’s moon landing 45 years ago, Bodega and Nike teamed up to make what will go down as one of the craziest Air Max Lunar90s ever.

During the inception of the moon landing concept I’m certain there was zero to little doubt about throwing Lunarlon into the mix. Because Nike’s obvious. Not that it’s a bad thing since the Lunar90s and Air Max Lunar1s are quickly becoming the new standard of sportswear runners.

The designers of the ‘Moon Landing’ Lunar90s get some serious credit. It’s one thing to create a yawn-worthy moon pattern, but another thing to have it on a shoe and essentially make the silhouette indistinguishable. Not just a lunar surface pattern, but also a camouflage. Seriously, it’s hard to pick out certain aspects of the shoes that made them favorites. Like the plastic eyestays or the mudguard. Not satisfied? The pattern is also 3M, and the mismatched heel tabs add some patriotic contrast. Because the 4th of July is every day to real ‘Muricans.

The Nike Air Max Lunar90 SP ‘Moon Landing’ will be available July 20th 8am EST at Bodega, the 45th anniversary of the event. Retail pricing is set at $145.
