SOLO HOUSE BY MAKOTO TAKEI + CHIE NABESHIMA TNA
The solo house project is a brainchild of the French developer Christian Bourdais. For this project he asked a new wave of established architects, to populate a mountain terrain in eastern Spain, called Matarrana.
The beautiful structure we’re displaying and writing about today is one by the Japanese, Tokyo-based architectural practice Makato Takei + Chie Nabeshima / TNA.
The practice of Makoto Takei and Chie Nabeshima is primarily known for superior residential designs built in both natural and urban contexts. They’re well known for their awarded projects as; the Ring House, Figured Glass House, Gate Villa, and Helix House.
The duos belief in so-called condensed architecture, which neither blends into its surroundings nor confronts them, has enriched the in-between-ness of their architecture.
This belief translates beautifully into the amazing futuristic building and pool in this rugged, but yet idyllic landscape. Have a good look and dream away with the thought of spending your summer at this spot, walking from the main building along the trail and plunging into that amazing pool!
